Rarely, if ever, can non-veterans write and create any kind of realistic tale about combat and capture the subtleness and the fullness of the emotional and spiritual chaos related to battle. In Freedom's Light (an Amazon Short) by Robert J Saniscalchi
This is a fictional story based on some true experiences of the author. I actually experienced the scene that describes freedom's light while deer hunting with my brothers. I love the beauty of the outdoors and the mountains. I wanted to write something to give my readers a feel of just how beautiful and wondrous it can be in the great outdoors. A sample of how someone we love and admire can have an influence on us even after they are gone. It is a happy little story about family and the bonds that join us together.

The Link Between Iraq and Vietnam (an Amazon Short) by Robert J Saniscalchi
Since the war in Iraq started there has been growing dissention among the people of America about why we are there. The media is filled with comments about the war and it has become a political battle as well. Several times, I heard the comment “Iraq is another Vietnam. Since I am an author of a book about Vietnam, I decided to take a hard look at this issue. What was the link? Why are we there? Who has the answers? By doing this comparison, it helped me understand things a little more clearly. I hope some of the words will ring true for my readers as well.
