Beyond Genesis: The Untold Story of Man's Origins

With all the public fascination lately with ´Bible Codes´, the author has uncovered ´hidden´ messages in the book of genesis that could not have been understood until the present age of understanding. With a refreshingly new interpretation, based on present day knowledge, Allen Epling presents new evidence that the events in Genesis are real and that there is a genetic link to the patriarchs of the Old Testament.
There has been considerable interest lately in the debate between science and religion over creation and the existence of God. In order to gain a larger base of support, many religious groups are changing the wording of their agenda from “Creationism” to “Intelligent Design” because of problems with the stories in the book of Genesis. If we study the history of man as contained in the book of Genesis, and compare it to the archeological evidence, we do find that there are some common grounds. The differences exist mostly because historians refuse to consider the stories contained in the Bible as anything other than myths or exaggerated tales.
This book was written because of a belief that the book of Genesis has a historical basis and is significant in the history of man. However, the author doesn’t fall into the trap of others who go against common beliefs of the scientific community, of completely repudiating data that is reliable and accepted, almost universally, by all scientists. The basic assumption in this work is that both the scientific community and the religious fundamentalists have misinterpreted the data, and the answer lies somewhere in between. The author attempts to show in this book that the stories of Genesis are based on truth and are believable if we make only a few adjustments to the translation and interpretation of the original Hebrew Bible.
Anthropologists and historians universally agree that something extraordinary did happen between 2500 BC and 2000 BC that lifted man out of the Stone Age into civilization. Our systems of government, our written language, our way of building cities are all a result of that one giant leap from ignorance to enlightenment. Was that “technology explosion” somehow related to the one we see today? Is there a connection between the book of Genesis and this event?
The Bible has made that claim for over 3000 years but nobody has really investigated fully this phenomenon or listened to the message of Genesis concerning this event. Is it possible that all the other “myths”, the flood of Noah, the Garden of Eden, etc. are true? Is it possible with the current controversy between Creationism and Evolution, that both groups have an element of the truth?
Beyond Genesis: The Untold Story of Man’s Origins lists three basic assumptions that, if accepted, would make clear almost every mystery in Genesis. One of these “core concepts” is that around 3900 BC there was a second Creation event described in Genesis 2:4, separate in time from all the creations in chapter one, in a very real place called the “Garden of Eden”. This event resulted in a new and separate species of man that was different from the existing one that was already two million years old, and that “modern” man is a result of the mixing of the genes of the two.
Some of the questions this book attempts to answer are, “What is the Garden of Eden all about? How did the patriarchs live so long?, What was the flood of Noah?, How did man advance so far between 2500 B.C. and 2200 B.C.”?, “Who were the seven Sages”?, and “Does our DNA contain hidden clues to support these stories?”
Throughout this book, the basic hypothesis is that the Garden of Eden event was an exercise by God in genetic engineering that was designed to improve the existing “primitive” man, but was corrupted. The result was that an entire area that was called Eden, which was “the world”, was destroyed in the flood of Noah, and now lies under 650 feet of water at the bottom of the Black Sea. This would also provide the long sought explanation that Cain’s wife came from outside the area called “Eden”, and was a member of the primitive man that co-existed with the Biblical “man”.
By providing proof that the flood of Noah was misinterpreted and was actually a local catastrophe, most of the remaining mysteries suddenly become understandable. This book athas to this region, there is no longer a need to have “all the millions of animals of the world” on the ark. The author shows that the aim of the ark was actually to save only those “creations” of animals and plants that took place in the Garden of Eden that were not corrupted. This would have required a far fewer number and would have been much more plausible.
A further hypothesis is that our civilization, our physical makeup, our lifespan, and our religions, are all possible because of the work of the descendants of a real man named Noah. Their “Godlike” features were the source of myths and legends in cultures all over the world. Because of a coordinated plan that began in the Garden of Eden and was put into action at the Tower of Babel, these descendants spread over the whole Earth, infused their superior genes into primitive man’s, and had the knowledge and ability to raise man to an advanced level of civilization. These “visitors” are mentioned and remembered in historical records in practically every culture around the globe. The author proposes that WE are the progeny of that merging of their genes.
The author also suggests, and supports with documentation and references, the idea that these “visitors” founded the ancient civilizations of Greece and Egypt, and was the source of their legends of “Gods”. He suggests that all the Greek legends of heroes such as Hercules and Zeus, were actually stories passed down by the early inhabitants of these lands about the deeds of these descendants of Noah. These individuals, who, with their longevity, knowledge, strength, and wisdom, caused them to be accepted by these primitive societies as Gods. This is described in Genesis10:25 and 10:32, "These are the families of the sons of Noah ...and by these were the nations divided after the flood."
The author shows that with the knowledge of genetics that we are acquiring today, it is entirely possible that such beings could have existed. If we accept that Olympic athletes at the next Summer games will be genetically altered to be better competitors, is it a stretch of the imagination to consider that individuals in Genesis, and Greek legends, who lived longer, were smarter, and stronger, could have had such qualities?
This book also explores how all the other great civilizations of the world, developed from the descendants of Noah, who visited and offered “gifts” from the Garden that were saved on the Ark, to the primitive colonies of a lesser form of man.
The author provides documented proof that some of us living today have genetic “marker” genes that go back to the time of Moses. It is possible that we may still have a trace of the abilities of the pre-flood inhabitants of Eden in our genetic structure.
The author has gone to great lengths to show that these hypotheses have a valid and credible scientific basis that is recent and up to date, and has referenced all data to the original sources.
Finally, the reader is challenged to consider where this “plan” is taking us.
